Got some reluctant writers on your hands? Santa may be able to help! In this Santa Writing Activity and Craft, we will show how to make writing super fun for little ones.
This Santa's favorite cookie writing activity is an amazing way to help children practice their writing during the holiday season. It allows them to put their writing skills to work in a fun way!
For an extra dose of fun, as well as creating a Santa template we've included a Mrs. Claus template, too! You can print the templates onto coloured paper or have fun painting or colouring the templates yourself, then all that's left to do is assemble all the pieces.

Santa Writing Activity - Supplies:
- Santa writing and craft printable
- Paper in the skin tone you prefer plus, red and white.
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloured card to mount finished craft into
Santa’s Favorite Cookie Writing Activity - Instructions:
STEP 1 - Get your Santa printable
Our free Santa printable template can be found at the bottom of this post. Print the template out onto the suggested coloured paper or alternatively print it onto white paper and paint or colour each piece of the template.
STEP 2 - Cut out the Santa template
STEP 3 - Put together the Santa craft
Now it is time to put together your Santa by gluing each part together.
STEP 4 - Writing time!
Now, it's time to write! Invite your child to practice their writing on the writing prompt sheet at the end of the printable. They can write about Santa's favourite cookie or alternatively use a blank piece of paper and write a letter to Santa.
