Pumpkin Crafts for Kids

Pumpkins make a great subject as they’re good for so many themes - Halloween of course but also thanksgiving and harvest, this is a post that hopefully you’ll be able to return to again for more fun ideas! If you like the activities I’ve shared to day make sure that you bookmark this page or pin an image so that you have these ideas to hand when you need them.

This colour mixing pumpkin is a great way to teach kids how to make the colour orange and you can use it to practice mark making or forming letters too.

For a craft that’s perfect for Thanksgiving this paper plate pumpkin pie is a good way to get kids to think about what they’re thankful for.

This stained glass pumpkin suncatcher is one of my kids favourite crafts and you can check out a little video to see how we made it too.

I love it when we can find our craft materials from a rummage in the recycling box and the Jack O’Lantern in these recycled Halloween suncatchers looks pretty cute too.

These puffy paint pumpkins are surprisingly easy to make and kids will love the cool 3D effect of the paint.

This pumpkin slime is really easy to make and has pumpkin seeds in it too, plus the colour looks fantastic!

Paper plate crafts are always good (I know we always keep some plates on standby!) and these paper plate pumpkins are great for teaching colour mixing.

All little artists need a snack and of course we need a pumpkin based one! These Jack O’Lantern tangerines are really easy to make and a great way to encourage healthy eating too.

I’m a bit in love with these mini pumpkin pizzas and I know my kids will be too!

This pumpkin handprint card is simple enough for kids to make but would make a lovely keepsake too.

This easy pumpkin craft is another excuse to craft with recyclables and makes fantastic decorations
