Painting Ideas Activity Calendar – fun kids painting techniques

The theme for our July kids activity calendar is  'get painty'! We have put together a list of 31 fun painting techniques for kids to have fun with. There are lots of painting ideas for toddlers and preschoolers as well as some for babies and older kids. These process art painting ideas are all about having fun with paint, don't worry too much about what the final piece of artwork looks like (although some do look amazing!)

Painting is always so much fun and perfect for all ages! We have tried out so many fun painting activity ideas over the years and they always go down well with the kids. Don't worry too much about how you want the finished artwork to look, often it looks nothing like what is imagined. Some of the artwork created does look pretty effective though!
