Playdough Snails
Playdough Snail Supplies:
- Seashells
- Playdough
Play-Dough Snails Instructions:
STEP 1: Start shaping the playdough
Start by taking a piece of playdough in your chosen color and roll it into a long snake-like shape.
STEP 2: Form the snail's head.
Create a head shape at the end of your playdough. You can make the antenna by shaping it with your fingers or adding two tiny pieces of playdough and attaching it to the snail's head.
STEP 3: Give the playdough snail eyes
Using a complementary color, shape two little balls of playdough and make the snail's eyes. Attach them to the head.
STEP 4: Give the playdough snail a shell
It's time to add the seashell. Choose a seashell and carefully insert the snail's head into the seashell opening, creating the snail's body.
Now go wild with creativity and repeat the process with all the playdough colors of your choice and shell forms!
This is such a wonderful way to spend time with the kids and allow them to be creative! It's not just a fun activity; you can always use playtime to sneak in a little bit of fun-education and teach them some facts about the magical world of the snails living in the backyard!
We hope you enjoy making your own playdough snails.
