Gingerbread Cloud Dough Recipe

Gingerbread Cloud Dough - Supplies:

• 2 cups of cornstarch
• 1 cup of white hair conditioner 
• 20-25 drops of brown food colouring 
• Gingerbread man cookie cutter 
• Googly eyes
• Red or green buttons
• White pipe cleaner (cut into 1 or ½ inch) 
• Pan
• Plastic mat
• Mixing bowl and spoon 
• (optional: rolling pin, plastic knife) 

Gingerbread Cloud Dough - Instructions:

STEP 1: Gather all your ingredients!

Begin by taking the cornstarch and pouring it into a bowl, then add the conditioner and stir well until you get a smooth mixture. Knead the dough using your hands to form a dough.

STEP 2: Add colour to your cloud dough.

Once you have kneaded the dough enough to get a soft texture, it's time to add the colour. Make a small indent in your cloud dough and add a couple of drops of food colouring to the dough. Fold the cloud dough over the colouring and keep kneading it until the colour is even.

STEP 3:  Flatten and cut your cloud dough.

Take the dough, roll it into a ball and place it on a flat surface. I like using a plastic mat, but whatever you have at hand works. Grab your gingerbread man cookie cutter and a selection of buttons, eyes, pipe cleaners etc. 

STEP 4: Make a cloud dough gingerbread man

Now it's time to put together your cloud dough gingerbread man! Press the cloud dough flat against the surface and use your cookie-cutter to cut the dough into the gingerbread man's shape.

Take the pipe cleaner and shape it to look like a smiley face, then add it to the gingerbread man, placing it as the mouth. Add the googly eyes and the buttons, as well. Have fun designing your own gingerbread man. 

If you want to get it perfectly-polished, use a plastic knife to cut away any extra cloud dough around the cookie-cutter.
