Popsicle Stick Leprechaun Puppet Craft

Leprechaun Puppet Craft Supplies:

• Coloured craft papers
• Popsicle sticks
• Pencil
• Marker
• Scissors
• Craft glue

How to Make your Leprechaun Puppet Craft:

STEP 1: Grab your supplies

Print and cut out the Leprechaun puppet template that can be found at the bottom of the page and get your coloured craft paper ready. Trace the leprechaun patterns onto your craft papers of choice and cut out all of the traced pieces using scissors. 

For younger children you may like to have this step prepared for them.

STEP 2: Prepare leprechaun puppet

This is the fun part! It's time to put your leprechaun puppet together. Start by making your leprechauns hat. Glue together all the parts that make up the belt for the hat and then glue it onto the hat (as shown below)

Then, grab the beard cut out and attach it on the bottom side of the small round cutout that makes your leprechauns face. 

Next, glue the boots on either side of the strip cutouts (which will be used as the puppet legs!). 

STEP 3: Glue leprechaun puppet

It's time to glue all the parts together now. Get your head and attach it to the top of the body (the big round cutout). Glue the leg (strips with boots attached) below the body. 

STEP 4: Give your leprechaun puppet a face

Using a sharpie draw the eyes, nose, and mouth of the leprechaun. You can also draw some stripes on the legs if you feel that you would like to add an extra touch. 

STEP 5: The finishing touch

Now turn your leprechaun papercraft into a puppet! This is what makes this leprechaun craft so cute! Grab your popsicle sticks and attach the paper leprechaun to it. Then glue the leprechauns hat on to complete your leprechaun puppet.
