Transform a bundle of popsicle sticks into these super cute arctic animal crafts. These easy popsicle stick craft instructions don't tell you how to make just one arctic animal, there are instructions for making a moose, a polar bear, a penguin and a walrus! Ok so penguins don't actually live in the arctic, but they were too cute not to include in this collection of winter animal crafts.

Popsicle Stick Arctic Animal Crafts

Whilst learning about winter animals young children might like to colour in one or two of our printable arctic colouring pages.

Despite not being from the arctic one of my favourite winter animals has to be a penguin, they always look SOOO cute! We have made several penguin crafts that you might like to take a look at as well as lots of penguin-themed activities. Here are a few of our favourite:

How to make arctic animal crafts from popsicle sticks

Use the instructions below as a guide. Of course you can add extra details or use different craft supplies if you choose. You may want to make one arctic animal craft or you might want to make the whole collection!

STEP 1: Gather your supplies

Gather all your supplies and print out the arctic animal pattern available at the bottom of the page.

STEP 2: Prepare popsicle sticks

Measure and cut out four rectangles from card, three-inches wide by five-inches long and attach each one to the back of five wooden craft sticks. Using a glue gun is the easiest way to do this as it dries fast, but if you younger children want to do this step you could use craft glue and wait for it to dry.

STEP 3: Paint the popsicle sticks

Base coat the penguin with black craft paint, the polar bear with white craft paint, the moose with light brown craft paint and the walrus with dark brown craft paint. Once you have fully coated each set of popsicle sticks with paint set them aside to dry.
