Andy Warhol was a key figure in the pop-art movement in the 20th century. Along with other artists from the pop-art movement, his view of what could be considered art disrupted the traditional art world at the time. His art concept and work's impact on culture were so significant he help re-shaped how we think of visual arts today.

Homemade Thank You Card - Pop Art for Kids

Andy Warhol Inspired Thank You Card - Supplies:

• Printable thank you card
• Markers
• Watercolour
• Oil pastels
• Scissors
• Glue
• Accessories 

Pop Art Thank You Card - Instructions:

STEP 1: Download & Print

Get our free printable thank you card template down below and print it out. I would recommend printing it onto thin cardstock. There are two versions of the printable thank you card, one full size that can be used as wall art, and one that is half size to use to make the card. The directions below are for making the card.

Once you have printed out the thank you card template be sure to have all the supplies you'll need nearby so we can start this fun pop art project!

STEP 2: Fill in your Thank You Message.

Using your kid's favourite mediums (crayons, pencils, watercolours, oil pastels, acrylics, etc.) start guiding them to fill in the letters on the thank you card template in bold, bright colours to give them a pop-art inspired feel!

STEP 3: A bold & Bright Background.

Once the thank you letters have been coloured in, it's time to add a pop of colour to your background! Let your little one chose the colour, but try to encourage them to use a contrasting colour to make more eye-catching.

STEP 4: Final Details.

Now that you have coloured your printable template it is time to fold it in half to turn it into a card.  You may want to cut the white border off the card with scissors, or you can leave it, the choice is yours!

Now it's just a matter of how you'll use this card. Your kids can make a few and give them away to loved ones who have given them birthday or Christmas gifts or you can use them at the end of a school year to thank teachers. You could even use them to write a little note to thank someone for all the everyday things that they do that you are thankful for.
