Homemade Paint Recipe Supplies:


  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups salt
  • 2 cups warm water
  • Water-soluble food colouring

STEP 1: Make your base paint.


Take a large bowl and mix in the flour and salt. Add the water and continue mixing until the mixture is completely blended.

PRO-TIPS!


If you like a smoother consistency, heat up the water beforehand and add the salt first, stir and then mix in the flour. 

Don't worry if the mixture turns a bit purple when you add the water, it's completely normal and it'll turn into a neutral shade quickly once you start mixing everything together. 


STEP 2: Add the colour.


Now you simply need to divide the mixture into different containers and add a different food colouring into each one. Stir well until you get a smooth coloured mixture.
