  • Peanut butter

Peanut Butter Bird Feeder Instructions:

STEP 1: Prepare your supplies

This toilet roll bird feeder craft is perfect for younger children, but if doing this activity with toddlers or preschoolers I'd recommend having all your supplies prepared and to hand. Prepare the bird seed by adding it to a tray that is larger than your cardboard tubes.

STEP 2: Prepare the holes

Grab your scissors and start by creating a small set of holes at the top of the toilet roll tube. Take your string and thread it through the two holes and tie it in place. The string will be for hanging your bird feeder.

Now create a small set of holes towards the bottom of your toilet roll tube. Push the bamboo skewer through to make a resting perch. Here's where the birds will stand!

TIP: If doing this craft with toddlers or preschoolers I would recommend preparing the holes and string in advance and adding the bamboo skewer once they have made the rest of the bird feeder.

STEP 3: Make it tasty!

Now it's time to make this cute bird feeder an irresistible stop for all the bird in your area!

Take your cardboard tube and spread a thin layer of peanut butter over it with a butter knife. Immediately after finishing applying the peanut butter, roll the tube in the bird seeds and make sure to press more bird seeds if you miss any spots!
