Bunny crafts are just perfect for Easter time, and you can't get cuter than a small child using their footprint to create it. We have lots more Easter crafts for you to look at in our Easter crafts and activities collection.
There is nothing better as a parent than receiving a handmade card that includes your child's little handprint or footprint. I think that goes for grandparents, too! Children grow far too quickly, so it is lovely to create a reminder of how tiny they are.
These cards were made with my 7-week-old using his tiny footprints, and they are so adorably cute!
Taking footprints from a baby can sometimes be difficult, so rather than using paint on their delicate skin, I would recommend using an inkless handprint and footprint kit, which is gentle as well as being easier to use.
Over the years, we have created many, many keepsakes, and so we have a collection of DIY keepsake ideas for you to browse through.

Footprint Easter Bunny Card
Start by getting a copy of the 'Hoppy Easter' printable template, which is available at the end of these directions, and print it out onto thin white cardstock.
We have included two printables for you to choose from. For babies and younger toddlers, I would recommend the card that can be folded in half. For older toddlers and preschoolers, you may need to use the A4 design to fit their footprints in the white space.
You can either print the footprints straight onto the card, or you can make them on paper first and then cut them out and stick them onto the card. Once you have made the footprint, you need to add 2 ears to the heel of the footprint to create a bunny silhouette.
We also have a 'some bunny loves you' version of this card.
We made our cards using baby Oliver's footprints. He is only 7 weeks old, so I didn't want to use paint; instead, I used an inkless handprint and footprint kit.
Inkless handprint and footprint kits are great for creating keepsakes, and they worked perfectly for this Easter craft. I took his footprints by wiping his foot with the wipe that came with the kit and then pressed his foot onto the paper.
Once I had Oliver's footprint, I wiped my little finger with the wipe in the pack and pressed it onto the heel of the print to create the ears.
I then cut the footprint bunny silhouette out and glued it to the Hoppy Easter printable.
Once the footprint bunny is on the 'Hoppy Easter' printable, glue on a white pom pom as the bunny's tail. If you are making the card with a baby, you might be able to fit two footprints on the card, like we did with our somebody loves you bunny card.
