Fake Snow Recipe
Fake snow recipe supplies:
- baking soda
- water
How to make easy homemade fake snow
The recipe to make fake snow really couldn't be any easier. Add baking soda to a small tray or bowl. Slowly add small quantities of water to the baking soda until the 'snow' is of a mouldable consistency. Once you can easily mould the 'snow' into a snowball in your hand, you have reached the perfect consistency.
To add an extra sensory experience to this recipe, put the tray of fake snow in the fridge for a short time so the snow feels cold to the touch. Adding a bit of silver glitter could enhance your snow, too; you can't beat a bit of sparkle!
The snow can be used to build snowmen and snowballs or to create a snowy small world. It would even be fun to leave a little of this fake snow on the ground on Christmas Eve as evidence that Santa has been!
Fake Snow Small World Play
Adding small figures such as these frozen characters to your fake snow is great for imaginative play.
You can make small snowballs out of the snow, or let the fake snow drop from above as if it's snowing on the characters.
Why not walk the characters through the snow to create tiny footprints?
Have fun switching up the characters, penguins are a good adition.
This is such an easy play activity to set up and a perfect winter activity for toddlers and preschoolers.

We hope you have lots of fun making and playing with this easy homemade fake snow recipe. It is so easy to make DIY snow from baking soda, but so much fun!
