Sparkly Silver Slime Recipe using Contact Solution

Get the kids involved with the New Years Eve celebrations (or any other party celebrations) by making some sparkly silver slime. Our easy contact solution slime recipe is sure to be a huge hit with the kids, young and old! This homemade slime activity only uses 4 ingredients and results in a fun, sparkly, stretchy slime for little ones to have fun playing with.

So back to the slime! Slime seems to have been the craze of the year and the kids are going to love this sparkly silver slime recipe. I love how easy it is to make. 

You will need

• 6 oz silver glitter glue 
• 1/2 tsp baking soda 
• 2 tbsp gold glitter 
• 1 1/2 tbsp contact lens solution (UK- If you are unable to get the equate contact lens soloution try ReNu - UK link)

The contact lens solution must contain boric acid as one of its ingredients. 

How to make sparkly silver slime

Begin by mixing together 6 oz silver glitter glue and 1/2 tsp baking soda in an old bowl. 

Add gold glitter to the bowl and mix. The recipe says to add 2 tbsp of gold glitter, but you can never have too much glitter so don't worry if a bit more finds its way into the bowl.

Mix 1 1/2 tbsp of the contact solution into the mixture. Stir well, until the mixture thickens. It is helpful to work the contact lens solution into the slime with your hands, too. If your slime is too sticky or not firm enough, simply add more contact solution a little at a time until it reaches a good consistency. 

Then simply enjoy playing with your sparkly sliver slime.
