Handprint Thing One and Thing Two Dr Seuss Craft
Thing 1 and Thing 2 Handprint Craft - Supplies
- White paper plate
- Cardstock - blue, red, white
- Black marker
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Dr Seuss Paper Plate Thing 1 and Thing 2 Craft - Directions
STEP 1 Draw and cut out handprints
Begin by tracing your little one’s handprint on blue cardstock or paper. You will need 6 handprints for Thing 1 and another 6 handprints for Thing 2. Cut out all the handprints.
STEP 2: Draw faces on paper plates
Now, with the black marker, draw a face in the centre of a white paper plate for Thing 1 and a similar face on another paper plate for Thing 2.
STEP 3: Glue handprints to the paper plate to create hair
Then glue 6 handprints around the top half of each of the plates. This will create Thing one and Things two's hair.
STEP 4: Make Thing 1 and Thing 2's body
Next, print the template for the body pieces onto white paper (or alternatively draw the shapes freehand). Cut out the white circle. Then cut out the larger shape, trace around it onto red cardstock and cut it out.
You will need to repeat this step twice, once for Thing 1 and once for Thing 2.
Write Thing 1 on one white circle and write Thing 2 on another. Then glue a circle in the centre of each of the large red pieces of cardstock.
Finally, glue the top of the body piece to the back of the paper plate. Do the same for both Thing 1 and Thing 2.
That's it, your handprint Thing 1 and Thing 2 craft is now complete! Of course, you don't need to make both Thing one and Thing two unless you wish to, you could just make one or the other.
