Printable handprint poem Instructions:
STEP 1: Get your handprint poem printable ready
To start you just need to download and print out the handprint poem on your favourite cardstock. Grab your paints and a sponge paintbrush. Remember to have some water or baby wipes nearby to avoid any extra messy situations!
STEP 2: Paint your child's little hand
Take the printed handprint poem page and place it somewhere flat like a table or on a hard floor. From there, take your little one's hand and paint their hand with the tempera paint. Older children may enjoy painting their own hands before making a print.
STEP 3: Press the hand onto the paper
Then help your child to press their hand against the poem page, softly. Lift your child's hand, straight up. This is key as you don't want any fingers moving or sliding to get a good handprint.
STEP 4: Dry and Display!
