Marshmallow Catapult Activity
Marshmallow Catapult Supplies:
- 5 green craft sticks
- 2 red craft sticks
- 5 rubber bands
- Red plastic spoon
- Marshmallows
You will also need:
- Elf on the shelf
- Printable instructions
How to set up this marshmallow catapult idea
1. Lay out the catapult supplies for your child to find, along with the printable instructions.
2. Follow the instructions on the printable to put the catapult together and shoot the “snowball” marshmallows.
How to make a marshmallow catapult
Here is Elfie demonstrating how to make a marshmallow catapult. Why not print out some of these pictures and leave them for the kids to discover along with a pre-made marshmallow launcher?!
Let’s have a snowball fight!
1. Stack the green craft sticks together and wrap a rubber band around each end.
2. Stack the red craft sticks together and wrap a rubber band around one end.
3. Pull the red craft sticks apart and slide them over the top of the green sticks.
4. Wrap a rubber band around the center of the stack to hold the red craft sticks in place.
5. Place the spoon on the top red craft stick and secure in place with a rubber band.
6. Shoot snowballs by placing them on top of the spoons
