Babios Nursery Furniture Review

Decorating babies nursery is a big deal for families. It's a great way to bond, build excitement for the new arrival and better still, is a great project that you can all do together - even with younger siblings. We had a lot of fun putting Oliver's nursery together, including picking out themes and decorating, but we did find that more so than just picking colours, it was just as important to make sure we filled the nursery with practical items. Babios helped tremendously in providing nursery furniture that suited our theme yet was also practical. I can't recommend their furniture enough!

We didn't want to go overboard with putting Oliver's nursery together, however, we did want to be practical and always kept in mind the fact that as Oliver grew, his nursery would need to be able to grow with him.

When putting together the nursery, we also put together a helpful list of baby essentials as we thought about what Oliver would most need in his new nursery.

Fortunately for us, Babios made it super easy to create a room that would grow with Oliver as he began to develop from infant to toddler and beyond. Nursery Furniture Review

Included in this post are going to be a few of the items they provided, in a review that I hope you will not only enjoy but find helpful for your own nursery prep, too! We chose items from the babios sailing line as we loved the nautical theme. We found this line of nursery furniture to be spacious and well made. It has a subtly boyish design with hints of dark brown and blue. Even Oliver loves the little nautical anchor knobs!

First up, out of the Sailing line, is the Extendable Nursery Cot bed. When I said we wanted to fill Oliver's nursery with products that would grow with him, the Nursery Cot Bed was just the type of furniture piece we were aiming for. Not only is it a cot but later on when he's ready, he can also transition from cot to single bed. With rails located on both sides of the cot to keep baby safe, peace of mind for mums & dads isn't far away, but on the other hand, when ready to transition to the single version, Oliver can feel more like a big boy by doing away with the rails entirely.

As an added bonus, the cot bed also comes with 3 drawers of convenient, slide out storage as well as a large drawer under the cot. The set of 3 drawers can later be used as a bedside table. All the extra storage means baby bottles, clothes etc are easy to store without causing unnecessary clutter and as Oliver transitions to the big bed, he'll be able to store clothes and shoes for school in the drawers as well.

Storing the bulk of Oliver's baby clothes has been made super easy with the spacious 3-Door Wardrobe with Drawers. Personally, I think this particular piece was a great addition to the nursery. It's functional, compliments the nursery perfectly and as an extra added bonus, is designed specifically with safety in mind so it doesn't topple over, thus avoiding potentially fatal injuries. It has shelves, drawers and hanging spaces meaning there is plenty of room to add items as Oliver grows.

Babios 2 door wardrobe review

The 5-Drawer Dresser is the last item I wanted to share, but it certainly isn't the least favourite of the 3! I love the 5-Drawer Dresser as you can never have enough storage! Although we have the wardrobe, we love these drawers as it means we can organise clothes, wipes, books, extra blankets, etc. with ease. We love the functionality and style of this piece which has the added bonus of having slow close drawers which avoids trapped fingers.

The dresser has a matching mirror that finishes the room off perfectly. Along with a few finishing touches like curtains, pictures, cushions, rugs etc the babios furniture that we choose for Oliver's room truly makes the perfect nursery for a little boy. I can see it lasting him for a very long time!
