Supplies for your painted mason jars


  • 3 mason jars
  • Acrylic paint - red, brown and white
  • Red glitter glue
  • Puffy paint - black and gold
  • Brushes

Directions to make your painted mason jars


STEP 1: Gather all your supplies


Before you get started, gather up all your supplies - mason jars, paint, and brushes. It just makes it easier to have everything in front of you before you start.

STEP 2: Paint the base coat


To get started, paint a jar red, another white, and the last one brown. Allow them to dry and then paint another coat of paint and allow that to dry as well.

STEP 3: Paint the snowman mason jar


Now to paint the details of your snowman! Use the black puffy paint to paint 3 vertical buttons, as you see below. Allow time to dry.

STEP 4: Paint the reindeer mason jar


Once you've done that, it's time to paint the details of the reindeer. Use the red glitter glue to make a nose in the centre. Allow time to dry.

STEP 4: Paint the Santa mason jar


Next, paint the details of your Santa jar! Using the black puffy paint paint a black belt around the centre of the jar. Allow time to dry.

STEP 6: Finalize details


Once the jars are dry, finish up by using the the gold puffy paint to make a gold buckle on your Santa jar. Allow it to dry before using for decoration.
