We had so much fun painting our firework toast that we decided to have a go at making some heart shaped toast.

To make the  'paints' we added a tiny amount of food colouring to some milk. We mixed the 'paint' up in little pots and used new paintbrushes.

We used wilton icing colour gel  (UK link/ US link) to colour our milk which makes amazing bright colours (with only a tiny bit of gel)

Painted heart bread- edible artwork

We used a large heart biscuit cutter to make our heart shaped bread. We even managed to get a few tiny hearts out of the off cuts that we made mini jam sandwiches with.
