Fingerprint Flower Pot Supplies:


  • Terra Cotta Pot
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Buttons
  • Modge Podge or spray sealer (Optional)

STEP 1: Prepare your supplies


First things first, grab all your supplies! Take your terracotta pot and paint it with your favourite acrylic colour. Set aside and let it dry before continuing. Toddlers and preschoolers will love helping with this step and you can always help them to fill in any gaps they leave.

STEP 2: Fingerprint time!


Choose paint colours to make the fingerprint flowers. Once you've chosen your colours help your toddler or preschooler to press one finger onto the paint and coat the tip of it.

Then help your little one to press their finger onto the flower pot and from there continue doing this but forming a flower. Place each finger on the pot clockwise and you'll get your flower shape! 5 fingerprints make up each flower.

STEP 3: Additional details


If you want to use this lovely flower pot outside you should seal your little ones' fingerprint artwork with mod podge or a spray sealer before you continue with the next step!


STEP 4: Add the buttons


Now it's time for the buttons! Glue on buttons in the middle of your fingerprint flowers.
