Below you will find step by step directions to make your very own fun back to school snacks! Your kids will have so much fun helping your decorate these fun snack ideas. These would make such cute snacks for a end of summer / back to school playdate or party. You could even help the kids make some as a teacher gift!

Ingredients needed for your fun back to school snacks:
- Nutter butter cookies
- Yellow candy melts
- Chocolate candy melts
- Pastry bag
- Parchment paper
- Fork
Directions to make your fun back to school snacks:
STEP 1: Gather your ingredients
First things first - gather up all of your ingredients! Trust me when I say it is SOOOO much easier in the kitchen when everything has been laid out ahead of time. I don't miss the days when I ran around looking for things one by one, ha!
STEP 2: Coat nutter butters in yellow candy
Once you have got your ingredients, it's time to get started with your fun back to school snacks! Put 2 cups of your yellow candy melts into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for about 2-3 minutes, making sure to stir every 30 seconds or so.
Then, use a fork to dip your nutter butters into the melted yellow candy. Allow any excess to drip off before transferring the nutter butters onto some parchment paper and freezing for about 5-8 minutes.
STEP 3: Prepare chocolate candy
Next, place 1 cup of your chocolate candies into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for about 2-3 minutes, making sure to stir every 30 seconds or so. Fill a pastry bag with the melted chocolate candy melts and cut off a very small tip.

STEP 4: Decorate your fun back to school snacks
Now for the fun part! Well... the most fun anyway! Let the kids get creative. Help them in drawing 1/2 - 1 inch lines across the bottom of the nutter butter cookies going lengthwise. Then draw numbers above the inch lines and allow it to harden.
