Magic Reindeer Food

Add an extra sprinkle of magic this Christmas by making some magic reindeer food with the kids.  Use our FREE PRINTABLE magic reindeer food poems and signs to set up a reindeer food bar.  Young children will love filling a bag full of oats, love and magic to feed to the reindeer on Christmas eve. Turn the cellophane bag full of reindeer food into reindeer by adding antlers, a red nose and googly eyes and add one of our free poem labels.  Keep the reindeer food in a safe place ready to sprinkle on the lawn on Christmas eve night.

How to make magic reindeer food

Print out all the signs using the link at the bottom of the page. If you want to do this activity with a larger group of children or you want the signs to last year after year I would recommend laminating the printables.

To set up the magic reindeer food bar fill 3 bowls or containers with oats and cake sprinkles.  (It is recommended that you don't use glitter as it is bad for the wildlife who might eat it).

Put one sign next to each of the bowls. We found some star shaped bowls which I think makes our reindeer food bar look extra magical!

Take a cellophane bag and fill it with reindeer food. You will need to put a bit of all the ingredients into your bag.

Tie the cellophane bag up and turn it into a reindeer by twisting a pipe cleaner around the top of the bag as antlers and adding eyes and a nose. Complete your magic reindeer food by adding our printable magic reindeer food poem label.
