How to make farm animal bookmarks
STEP 1: Round up all your supplies
Before you get started, make sure you have all the supplies you need in front of you. This makes it much easier for kids while making this farm animal craft.
The animal bookmark template is available at the end of these directions. Print the templates out and cut out the pieces for your chosen farm animal. As well as the rooster, cat, and pig pictured, there is also a template that you can use to make a dog (although there aren't images for the dog).
These directions are to make the pig corner bookmark. To make the other farm animals follow the directions on how to fold your paper, but add the face pieces for your chosen animal.
STEP 2: Fold the bookmark
To begin making your pig origami bookmark, cut a piece of pink paper into a 15cm x 15cm square. Lay it out on a flat surface.
Fold the paper in half diagonally and then grab the bottom corner and fold it upwards, aligning it with the edges of the paper.
Grab the right side of the paper and fold it down towards the bottom corner.
Next, curl it up inside of paper as shown in the picture below.
Then, grab the left flap and fold it inside as done previously with the right side.
STEP 3: Attach the face pieces
Now, flip the animal bookmark over and trim the bottom edge of the paper to create a rounded corner. Trace and cut out the patterns from the pig template.
Start attaching the template pieces. The oval shape that resembles the nose goes in the middle. Glue the inner ear pieces onto the outer ear parts.
Next, glue the ears on the top side of the corner bookmark.
STEP 4: Add final details
Use a black sharpie to trace the eyes, nose, and mouth of the pig onto the animal bookmark.
STEP 5: Repeat for the remaining animals
Now, repeat these steps for the other farm animal patterns to make the remaining bookmarks.
