Spooky Cakes

Spooky cakes are a perfect treat for Halloween. These simple cakes are fun to make and are perfect for a Halloween themed party. 


Harry was delighted with these spooky Halloween cakes and proudly handed them out to family.  We made a chocolate cake mix (with a bit of help from Betty Crocker) and decorated them using icing and chocolates. 


To make the ghost cakes we spread chocolate icing on the cake and then added a ball of ready to roll icing to the centre of the cake.  We then draped a circle of white ready to roll icing over the top of the ball and drew on some eyes and a mouth.



To make the spider cakes we spread chocolate icing on the cake and then used matchmakers as legs and chocolate drops, smarties and chocolate stars for the face. 


To make the frankenstein cakes we spread chocolate icing on the cake and then put a circle of green ready to roll icing on top. We used the sweets and a pen to add details.
