Father's Day Pop Art for kids - Supplies:

  • Printable pop art template
  • Markers, Watercolours or Oil Pastels
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Optional add ons like glitter, beads, etc.

How to make Andy Warhol Inspired Pop Art for Kids

STEP 1: Get the printable tie template

First, start this pop art project for Father's Day by scrolling down below to download the printable tie template! Once you have it, simply print it out onto thick paper or thin card.

STEP 2: Colour the ties

On a flat surface, lay out all the colour supplies you want to use for this pop art project. Invite the kids to join in and start colouring the ties on the template! 

Use a select few colours or all the colours of the rainbow, the choice is yours!

STEP 3: Work on the background

Now the ties are coloured it is time to colour the background. I would recommend using contrasting colours to make this really feel like a pop-art masterpiece, but it can still work if no matter what. 

Use paint like we did to paint the background in a contrasting shade or stick to using markers if you want less mess. Feel free to add any extra decoration like beads, buttons, or glitter like we have to some of our other pop art project ideas

Now, your Father's day art should be almost ready! 

Once the kids are happy with their design, grab some paper scissors, and carefully trim off the template's edges if you would like to.
