Homemade Christmas Gift Bags
We began by dipping Christmas sponges into paint and printing them onto our brown paper bags. I set up red paint for the stockings, green paint for the Christmas trees and white paint for the snowmen, the colours were all mixed up by the end of this activity though and Harry asked for me to get him some blue paint.
You can make a pattern using the sponges, just print one or two shapes, or make a whole Christmas scene! Daisy decided that she fancied doing a bit of hand printing too.
The children loved this so much they quickly went through my packet of 10 paper bags! I wrote love Daisy or love harry on each bag so I would know who they belonged to.
Once the paint had dried we added some detail using gold and silver pens.
Then we got out some glue, sequins and glitter to add a bit of sparkle to our bags.
We had a great collection of Christmas gift bags by the time we had finished. The children loved being able to be creative and paint and stick in anyway they pleased.
We added some brown gift tags to match which I stamped with a Merry Christmas message.
